Grant Projects Fund $1.5 Million in Projects to Improve Folcroft Borough

$1.5 MILLION in Active Grant Projects for Folcroft Borough!

We’re proud to announce over $1.5 million in ACTIVE, grant-funded projects happening right now across the Borough of Folcroft.

These projects will bring major improvements to:

  • Parks & recreational spaces

  • Storm water and sewer infrastructure

  • Pedestrian safety lighting throughout town

We want to thank our state and county partners, our borough engineer team at Remington & Vernick Engineers, and of course our wonderful staff for their leadership and expertise in bringing these projects to life.

Folcroft is moving forward, and we’re just getting started!

  • Mini- PROS Plan : The Mini-Pros Plan is a program will develop a master plan for all Park/Recreation Spaces. This plan has a committee of council members, business owners and residents of the Borough. This master plan that is created will put us ahead in the planning stages as well as bolster our advantage in receiving more grants in the future.

  • Montgomery Park Revitalization Project : Folcroft’s Montgomery Park – a hidden gem just off of Taylor Drive.– is a park that has been in need of some updates. New equipment and improvements to the infrastructure of the entryway are in progress. We are in the process of improving the drainage and much more. Borough Council has made this project a priority to enrich the natural ambience and quality of the park to make it enjoyable for the residents in our borough. Phase I is underway and Phase II will begin shortly thereafter. Submissions are in for Phase III and we are anticipating approval to complete this revitalization project for our town.

  • Infiltration and Inflow Abatement Program: With support from State Rep. Dave Delloso, we were awarded this incredible grant in the amount of $350,000.00. While we may not be able to see physical changes, this program will benefit our sewer system for decades to come.

  • Boroughwide Pedestrian Safety Lighting Project: With the continued support from our State Rep. Dave Delloso, we were awarded $400,000.00 (literally) to light the streets of Folcroft. In the coming months, we will be upgrading EVERY streetlight in the Borough to new and eco-friendly LED fixtures.

The Folcroft Borough Council is dedicated to making sure we find ways to improve, update, and advance our town. Our goal is to complete as much work as possible at the lowest cost possible to our residents.
