Snow Message from Mayor DiCicco and Emergency Management Coordinator Dan White

Please take this snow forecast seriously and prepare now. We want all our residents and businesses to be safe during this upcoming snowstorm.

Please follow the suggestions below so that everyone can be prepared and safe.

  • Have shovels, salt/calcium, and vehicle scraper ready

  • Make sure you have flashlights, portable radio, batteries, charge your phones and portable charges, and have your emergency supplies ready (food, water, meds pet food)

  • Please stay off all streets and roads to allow our plows to work safely and effectively. If you have a driveway, please move your vehicles off the street and into your driveway.

  • DO NOT shovel snow back into the street, please throw in your yard

  • Please shovel out fire hydrants out front of your home

  • NO SAVING PARKING SPACES WITH LAWN CHAIRS, CONES, ETC.

  • Sheltering in place if needed

  • Secure all loose items outside

  • Do not leave pets outside for extended periods of time

  • Look out for your neighbors, especially the elderly or those with mobility issues, to ensure they are safe.

We DO NOT recommend using kerosene heaters inside your home

Our Folcroft Borough Highway Department and Emergency Management Team are prepared and ready for the storm. The borough has over 75 tons of salt on hand to help with the freezing temperatures over the next week. Please understand that this storm may be long, and the highway department team is committed to providing essential services at our time of need.

CALL 911 for any emergency

In extreme emergencies where a majority of Folcroft is without power, we will open our emergency shelter location. Details and location will be announced once it is deemed needed.
